[Philodemic Society] Re: Resolutions for consideration at the September 28 Business Meeting

Resolved: Dictators are preferable to mobs.

Resolved: The National September 11 Memorial should not include the 9/11 Cross.

Resolved: Nations that abhor the US should not receive foreign aid.
OR
Resolved: The U.S. should cut all foreign aid to Egypt.

Resolved: The so-called "Arab Spring" was a positive development in the Middle East.

Resolved: The NYC soda ban represents good public policy.

Resolved: The legacy of the "Great Society" has done more harm than good.

Resolved: A college education is a worthwhile endeavor.

Resolved: The Affordable Care Act should be repealed.
*In my opinion, for what it's worth, down the road the Philodemicians of the future will no doubt look to see the Society's view on perhaps the most significant piece of legislation in half a century. I would hate to think that they will find with dismay that we felt it wasn't worth our consideration.
