[Downtown Dharma Listserve] ISO dharma buddy housemates!

Mindfulness-based, dharma-inspired, intentional group house!

Looking to increase and strengthen your practice by living around others who can support you?  Opportunity for intentional living available January 1!  I am a friendly Buddhist/vipassana/mindfulness practitioner looking for two housemates to co-create a new, intentional community together in Kensington that is supportive of deepening our spiritual/meditative practices and also of having fun and feeling relaxed to be ourselves!

I see this as some configuration of regular sits together and a heathy balance of camaraderie, occasional meals, listening to dharma talks, contemplations, and time to ourselves. The home has been renovated and has A/C, washer/dryer (in basement), and a dishwasher. It's 1.1 miles (walking) from the Wheaton Metro (1.6 miles driving), 1 mile from the MARC station, close to historic Antique Row and the farmer's market, Rock Creek Park, and 495. Here is a link for the pictures: https://goo.gl/photos/F3SzsHiYLrLkNvJXA.

Each bedroom/bath is on its own floor. (I'll be on the top floor.) The two available bedrooms/baths are as follows:

- $850 - Bedroom plus office/den on the first floor with closets and full bath (with tub) across the hall.
- $925 - Fully-finished basement with bedroom, separate living room, full bath with shower, and separate entrance.

Utilities (gas, electric, water) would be split by all (approx. $100 each or less per month) plus sharing of WiFi bill. One-month security deposit.

There are three common areas: the living room, kitchen, and sun room.

If interested, please send me a message with a little bit about yourself and your interests in this type of living or call! Thanks!

Marc

[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Virtual meditation group

Hi,

We're starting a small, new meditation group, and wanted to invite folks to join us.

Meditating in a group is great, but it's more convenient to do from our homes (no travel time, etc). We'll be using a virtual sangha format, with meditations held over skype once per week.
Send me an email off-list if you're interested.

Rob
