Upon completion, all participants receive a job offer from Giant or other employer. A 2012 LSWR program graduate—who came to MOLC with no money, no job, and little hope—now works a 40-hour week at Giant Food. Here is what he told this year's LSWR participants:
The LSRW program is just one way that MOLC is helping people and changing lives. MOLC also provides needy citizens in the Washington metropolitan area with free clothing, furniture and other household amenities under the Basic Needs Program. Under the Seniors Network Program, MOLC provides computer training and other services to senior citizens, which enables them to stay independent and knowledgeable in an increasingly technological world.
