Re: [dcphp-dev] Publishing Platforms

Hi, guys, thanks for weighing in.  Here's an example of what I've got currently.
http://iconoun.com/unicode.html

Not too worried about ownership of content; everything gets copied anyway.  Just looking for something similar in effect, without having to write my own HTML.  I'd like to have line numbers and a "copy to clipboard" function for the code snippets.  Some kind of BBCode formatting would be helpful.

Maybe there's a WP setup for this sort of thing?

Regards, Ray

Ray,

What exactly are you aiming for, what are your criteria: visibility or ownership of content. I'm not sure what medium's policy is regarding ownership, but I know a few people that have used it successfully (primarily politics & entertainment writing), ymmv. On the other hand buying a domain and slapping a CMS on it pretty easy to do nowadays and then there's plenty of plugins for social media integration / rss syndication and couple that with a shameless sense of self promotion you're good to go.

Have you seen Wix or Yolla ?

I know few people using that for similar purpose.

Colleagues: Over the course of the last few years I've written a number of articles about PHP for Experts-Exchange.  I would like to publish these articles on another platform, maybe my own blog or maybe medium.com, etc.  I think my needs are pretty mainstream - basic text formatting, links, images, code snippets.

I tried LinkedIn and found it somewhat wanting - the formatting was awkward, and there seems to be nobody who responds to questions

What do you recommend?

Thanks and regards,
Ray
