Web Developer – Applications, Alexandria, VA (1)
Global Thinking is a hybrid marketing agency/software development shop. Our Web Application Developers create systems that tie together customers, products and business processes for every segment of the economy. Our clients include banks, defense contractors, hospitals, hotels, manufacturers, non-profits, publishers, and technology start-ups.
As a Web Application Developer, you would be a key part of our development team from day one. You will be responsible for running your own projects while also working as part of a team. You'll be making significant customizations to existing systems and building PHP/MySQL web applications from the ground up.
What You'll Be Doing
• Customizing existing web applications and CMS
• Developing LAMP applications from conception to delivery
• Integrating web-based applications with offline workflows (e.g., print and fulfillment/shipping systems)
• Deploying and supporting web servers in a production environment
• Working on projects involving heavy data mining and data manipulation
