Resolved: The internet has done more harm than good to the American political system
Resolved: Frodo Baggins was not a hero
Resolved: We are living in a Clash of Civilizations
Resolved: Teacher pay should be linked to student performance
Resolved: Barack Obama, not Mitt Romney, should win the 2012 election. (Open to wording suggestions, but it should be a choice between the 2, not a referendum. I'd also like to point out that the society has been debating Presidential elections since at least the 1960s--probably further back, I just haven't checked.)
Also, Nick, I feel like you should come back so we could debate all of those resolutions! I have a sneaking suspicion that we would disagree passionately on almost every one of your proposed topics!
