Re: [dcphp-dev] question about php wordpress freelancing

Aaron:

I have been a freelancer for over 10 years.

I suggest you research the forms of business in your state and engage a
team of professionals. This can be very costly and one never knows when
you might need to pay for more services... for instance a letter from
the IRS, a contract to review, ask a tax question, etc.
* lawyer (read contracts)
* accountant (federal, state, tax advice)
* insurance (errors and omission insurance, etc)

If this sounds like too much research, paperwork, and expenses, I have
another solutions. Outsource your entire business entity and back
office. This gives you great benefits at a low cost, which is easily
calculated. You run your own brand, under someone else's business name.
I pay 4% of what I invoice to IamIndependent.com who provides the
legal, accounting, and insurance. It's also fast and easy to get
started.

Check out their website and if you have questions, feel free to email me
or call 202.684.6244. Also, my business manager is Zev Feinberg
<zev@iamindependent.com>. He can also provide additional details.

Good luck!
