You don't absolutely have to, but their are a ton of reasons to actually
register as an LLC to protect yourself from liability. If this is going
to be substantial work or your main source of income, it'll be worth the
relatively small investment. Unless you setup an actual corporation,
you'd report your business taxes along with your personal taxes.

Of course, IANAL and there are small, but important differences between
states/jurisdictions that you should really not proceed without actual
legal advice. Nor should you take this email as a subsitute for legal or
tax advice. I know a lawyer in Arlington that helped us when we were
getting musketeers.me setup that I can refer if you need one.
