[dcphp-dev] Free HTML5 Mobile App Training in Bethesda & Arlington Dec. 4–5

Hi all (and happy Thanksgiving!)

I'll be teaching a free intro class to Mobile App development using HTML5, next week, in Bethesda Wednesday Dec. 4 (http://apigee-bethesda-2013.eventbrite.com/) and in Arlington Thursday Dec. 5 (http://apigee-arlingtonva-2013.eventbrite.com/). I've taught this class a dozen times before, for over 3,000 students in cities such as San Francisco, LA, Denver, Austin, and at conferences such as HTML5 Conf and OSCON. Many of of the students come from a PHP background and are attending to learn more about Mobile, so if you're on this list you'll probably be in good company!

The premise is simple: in one day, you'll learn everything you need to know to build your first HTML5 Mobile App, including: a HTML & JavaScript refresher, PhoneGap, jQuery, jQuery Mobile, and how to use a backend-as-a-service (Usergrid).

The classes are completely free (and all the software & services we'll be using are too — most of them are even open-source). Hope to see you & your colleagues there!

Cheers,
Tim
