Re: [dcphp-dev] question about php wordpress freelancing

Yes, you need to create a LLC (state of your choosing). Your clients should be asking you for a W9, and then they will give you a 1099 in January/February. You pay taxes yourself, either quarterly or at the end of the year.
If you are serious about freelancing you should contact an accountant who has experience working with freelancers.

Hello,

I am a php/Wordpress developer, and I have always worked for companies.  I have two opportunities to build some websites for two  clients, and I have never done freelance work.   Do I need to set myself up as a company? How do taxes/its work for this?

Thanks,

Aaron
