EduSerc's Return on Investment (ROI) initiative is our focus to give back to the participant through a scholarship or other benefit if they register for any program we offer.  As you register for any of our programs, you will receive either contributions from EduSerc toward a scholarship for your child or membership reward points toward other services, facility rentals, gifts and other types of things honored by the organization.

 

 

2013 Spring Break Offerings (Apr 1 – Apr 5, 2013)

Spring Break Roller Coaster Enrichment

Students will enjoy their spring break by applying basic academic skills to fun activities in three main areas:

  • Roller Coaster Development
  • Graphic Arts / Video Development
  • Business Development

Students will learn how to build a physical roller coaster, develop graphics and a commercial to market their product and a business plan to make money from their roller coaster.

At the end of the week, students will take a field trip to Six Flags America to pitch their ideas to park officials. (based on park spring schedule)

Target Audience: Ages 9 – 11, 12 - 14, Ages 15 – 17

Spring Break Culinary Enrichment

Students will enjoy their spring break by applying basic academic skills to fun activities in three main areas:

  • Theme Park Culinary Delights
  • Graphic Arts / Menu Development
  • Business Development

Students will learn how to make several foods and dishes served as customary theme parks, graphically develop a menu and price sheet for their foods and outline a strategy to make money for their themed amusement park delights.

March 2013 Saturday Enrichment

EduSerc hosts a variety of enrichment activities to provide students with industry exposure in a number of areas. Within three (3) sessions, students will practice basic concepts of each industry, produce a formal product and present their outcomes to their parents and guests.


Creating 3D Rapid Prototypes

In this SMARTWHEELS session, students will design, layout and make their very own physical slot car. Students' designs will be sent to a local resource partner that makes physical 3D models from graphics.

Students will then learn how to paint, augment and race their slot cars gaining the full experience of making a vision come to life.

Target Audience: Ages 12 - 14, Ages 15 – 17

Traditions in Spanish Cuisine

This session is designed to help students learn the difference between Mexican and Spanish cooking and to create customary dishes adjacent to the Spanish culture. This class takes you on a trip to Spain while learning how fish, vegetables and meat can be a great asset to any dish you cook.

Students will have an opportunity to make dishes with oil and other ingredients found in most Spanish dishes found in Western and Central Spain cultures.

Target Audience: Ages 12 - 14, Ages 15 – 17
