ettain group has an immediate 6+ month contract PHP Developer opportunity in Washington, DC. You will be joining a premier non-profit organization to contribute to their Digital Media Group. This is a talented group of developers responsible for the design and development of both high-profile websites and applications on the web and mobile platform. The location is Metro accessible to both the Red and Green lines. This is a very casual and flexible work environment and we have placed a number of people there over the years that have really enjoyed it!

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop web pages and mobile applications in PHP5 using a Java-based proprietary CMS
• Write SQL statements to store data and build tables that bring content to the website
• Create robust user interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS.
• Work in 2 week scrum development sprints

Required Skills:

• Object Oriented Programming experience in PHP5
• Experience integrating with a CMS
• Background in a development environment that includes subversion tools
• Strong SQL skills (stored procedures, SQL statements in MySQL
• Strong XML skills
• Other must have knowledge – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
• JQuery experience highly desired
