As a Drupal/PHP Developer with Insomniac Design you will use your exceptional technical skills to ensure the work gets done right and on-time at every step of the way – from user experience, design, front-end development through programming, testing and delivery. Job Description

 

The role of Drupal Developer requires a command of Drupal and knowledge of similar CMS platforms. The ideal candidate has superior PHP skills and is comfortable with all web standards, especially HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery. The candidate will lead and assist in the design, implementation, testing and deployment of PHP based web applications.

 

The candidate will be involved in all aspects of projects, from estimating costs and duration to assisting with proposal development and sitting in on client meetings to answer technical questions as they arise.  We are looking for someone willing to communicate freely and openly with other team members. Above all, the candidate will be able to manage his or her time and meet deadlines while adhering to all project specifications. We work in a relaxed atmosphere, but our company reputation speaks for itself - we take our clients' work very seriously.

 

Skills & Experience Needed:

 

·      5+ years' experience with the LAMP (Linux, MySQL, PHP) technology stack, and other web development skills including HTML/5, CSS/3, and JavaScript/jQuery and at least 3 years Drupal 6 and 7 experience

·      Proficient in Drupal, including custom module development, key contributed modules and the core API, CCK, Views

·      Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture, XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, and/or other Web Services technologies

·      Working knowledge of Agile (Scrum/XP) development; knowledge of Drupal development norms and application architecture; understands complex database concepts; experience with relational database management systems including MySQL

·      Proficient in JavaScript and familiar with AJAX and JQuery

·      Proficient in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites

·      Experienced with Responsive Design using sub-themes within Drupal

·      Knowledge and expertise with cross browser compatibility issues (CSS, JavaScript, DHTML)

·      Web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery)

·      Knowledge of web-based solutions including data driven websites/portals, Web Services, Content Management Systems (CMS), Contact Relationship Management (CRM), e-commerce (EC)

 

·      Actively participate in the open source community, contributing or maintaining modules/projects and speaking at open source conferences/events

·      Ability and willingness to work with designers and front-end developers

·      Ability to work independently, multitask and meet deadlines

·      Assist with Technical documentation and presentations as well as conduct requirements analysis based on client needs
