[dcphp-dev] [job] PHP Developers and API designers needed---Direct hire

Hey Guys and Gals,

Just wanted to let you all know that one of my client companies is hiring right now. They are looking for PHP developers that can also do some UI design in CSS/jQuery/HTML. These guys are very techie and love working with new technologies. They are big into Bootstrap, Github, and mobile development as well.

There's quite big range of salary that they would consider, as they don't have a preference of experience level. I'd say at the lowest they would be looking somewhere around $75K, and at the top of the range for a superstar stud-muffin they would consider $130K-ish. Since they are a small team and work at an extremely fast pace, the need is more important for raw programming talent, ambition, and a lot of love for creating cool stuff.

The best way that I can describe them is by saying they are helping to bring commercial technology and start-up mentality to the US government, though they are a well-established company.

They have a long list of Federal and commercial clients, one being the DoD. With that said, anyone interested would need to be eligible for a Secret clearance, so US Citizenship and clean criminal and credit background is a must.

The need is also there on an exciting new project for several API developers. This will be a mixed technology stack, so anyone with a diverse background in open source and proprietary technologies is welcome, and even encouraged, to apply. Here are some details on this new project:

For the record, our client's team will be tracking closely to the API Facade design approach outlined by Apigee so if you haven't watched them I would highly recommend it - http://bit.ly/PV0sxi

Roles we are filling include:

  • API Designer
  • API / Developer Evangelist
  • Front End API Developers (Forward facing to the App Dev)
  • Back End Mediation Developers (To punch through all the legacy applications where much of the data is locked up)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and build elegant and simple RESTful APIs
  • Design and consume SOAP based APIs
  • Work hard to extract data locked in many different sources
  • Be able to build "proof-of-concept" applications to dogfood the APIs
  • Leverage your technical knowledge to hack, deploy, learn, and iterate fast
  • Embrace open source technologies and demonstrate to clients why they are awesome
  • Code, code, code, and code some more.

Position Requirements: -

  • Experience with API design and usage patterns
  • BS / MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Degree preferred
  • US citizen (with ability to be able to attain security clearance)
  • Strong problem solving, debugging, and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

I really hope there are a few of you out here that find some interest in this and reach out to me. This really is a great team and they value passion for technology and entrepreneurial spirits.
