The Wolterstorff Group (TWG), LLC, is a management consulting firm headquartered in Denver, Colorado with representational offices in Washington, DC.  TWG works both domestically and internationally with organizations and teams to increase team cooperation in complex and often stressful environments.  We have an immediate opening for a high-energy, creative intern with a background in international development to work with our Washington, DC staff in a busy and varied environment.
 
Duties include:
 
Attending Washington, DC functions, such as Society for International Development monthly and working group meetings, the Woodrow Wilson Institute, the School for Advanced International Studies, the Rockefeller Center, the Carnegie Institute and the other international development think tanks; Freedom House, the Professional Services Council, Interaction, Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network, the U.S. Center for Global Leadership etc. Reporting back to TWG staff on information gathered and contacts made.
 
Staying up-to-date on the USAID and foreign assistance issues by following information on the web and attending Professional Services Council, Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and other related meetings. Reporting back to TWG staff on information gathered and contacts made.
 
Networking in the Washington, D.C. area to increase firm's visibility and grow its roster of contacts and potential consultants

Maintaining the TWG knowledge base including contact lists and histories, reports and case studies, research and development results, and presentations

Learning the TWG model for team integration and strengthening; developing sales, presentation and training skills to support TWG trainers
 
Assisting with the drafting of marketing materials, white papers and articles

Provide input on identifying and then maintaining web-based systems such as meeting platforms, marketing systems and updating and monitoring the TWG website.


Requirements:
 
·      Minimum BA (Master's preferred) in related field such as international relations, development management, organization development, adult education, public relations


·      Good writing skills, good people skills, comfortable in a training environment

·      Ability to function in multi-cultural environments

·      Able to handle heavy workload and multi-tasking with frequent tight deadlines

·      Previous international field or headquarters experience with international foreign assistance entities (i.e. USAID, World Bank, private consulting groups, non-profit organizations etc.) desired
