The Sangha has need of volunteers to serve as Greeters before the Sunday Sits at Church of the Holy City. The role of the Greeter is to stand or sit by the door; greet newcomers, regulars, expats, etc,; and direct newcomers to the sit location. The Greeter would be expected to arrive at 5:45, assist the teacher with taking out the sign (if it's not already out), and stand or sit by the door until 6:05, at which time, the Greeter would close and lock the door, and then join the Sangha upstairs.

I'm in the process of setting up a google calendar to record the names of those who wish to volunteer. Ideally, if you are available, please sign up for a month at a time. Of course, if you can't commit for a month, a week at a time is appreciated as well. I'm hoping the calendar will be functional in that it will send you an reminder. If that function is not available or I can't figure out how to make it happen, I will do my best to send you a reminder.

Please consider taking on this service position to help support the Sangha. It's a great way to meet people and strengthen your commitment to attending. If you are interested, contact me at this email, or feel free to call me if you have questions. If you know how to use google calendar and can add yourself to the calendar and set up the notification, please do so. Otherwise, I'll be sure to add you once you let me know when you are available.
