[dcphp-dev] Deploying PHP applications in AWS Marketplace

Does anyone have any advice about deploying a closed-source PHP application to the Amazon marketplace?  In particular, how does one handle updates and migration?  Do you handle source code security with a license agreement protecting the code legally, or by encrypting the source code?

I'm looking at Elastic Beanstalk (http://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/create_deploy_PHP.html) but someone else mentioned Puppet, so wanted to ask this esteemed group for their recommendations on where to look more.
