Technical Lead (PHP Developer)

Greenfield Belser is a branding agency that specializes in the development of web sites for professional services firms. We are a located in the heart of Dupont Circle. We are seeking a unique individual who has strong technical skills and a demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues related to the web process for internal and external clients to serve as Technical Lead in our Web Department. Must have willingness to learn and use our custom content management system.

 

Responsibilities:

• Act as counselor on technical execution of Web projects to team members, account teams and clients

• Advises internally on technical questions

• Manages resolution of technical issues ("fires") as they surface

• Participates in client calls advising on technical issues

• Participates in client pitches

• Advises marketing on web proposals

• Work with development team to continually evolve development best practices

• Manage and create timelines

• Research solutions as necessary and stay on top of industry developments 

• Server setup and administration (Apache, PHP, MySQL) 

• Website development

• Database migration/administration

Qualifications: 

• 2+ years in Tech Lead Role and no more than 2 years since role as Developer/Producer role 

• Knowledge of the creative process

• Knowledge of web development/mobile technologies (HTML/5 CSS/3, JS, Flash, PHP, Python, Java, Objective C, etc.)

• Excellent verbal, written, resource planning, scheduling, and presentation skills

• Flexible, able to manage time effectively and juggle overlapping priorities

• Experience with social networking applications and APIs.

• Experience with clients

 

Nice to have: 

• Server setup and administration (IIS, MSSQL, DNS)

• Database migration/administration 

• Experience using version control systems (Subversion, git, etc.)
