This March & April the Institute for Exceptional Children will be conducting Math Intensive Workshops in Los Angeles, California and Greenbelt, Maryland. These sessions are for students grades 4th through 7th as some will need review while others will be getting a head start. Workshop topics will include multiplication, algebra, geometry and measurement. The cost for not mastering these core competencies can include dozens of hours of expensive tutoring, low SAT scores, fewer college acceptance letters and less financial aid. Students attending this 1-day STEM Math Intensive will receive: - A 1-on-1 pre & post assessment to document growth
- FREE "Math in the Real World" Workbook
- Personal instruction from Dr. Barrens-Alexander, an educator with 35 years of experience.
Parents will recieve a workshop wrap up letter highlighing their child's strengths & challenges in the classroom as well as tips to help keep their students engaged with the curriculum. |
