[dcphp-dev] [job] Symfony project - remote - immediate

I have a relatively small Symfony2 project and would like to use the opportunity to start a relationship with a new developer in the DC area.  The qualified candidate must work remotely and I have no concerns with dealing with a development shop rather than an individual.

I expect compensation for this project to be approximately $2000 but I am happy to entertain estimates or hourly rates.

The application is effectively 3 forms with approximately 5 elements each including a pair of drop-downs populated from the database and a date picker.  Some additional requirements are:
  1. User validation - email address and password required to see any of the forms
  2. Group validation - some forms will only be available to members of a specified group
  3. A running list of recent submissions displayed as a sidebar next to the forms
  4. The ability to open and edit past submissions
  5. Submitted data aggregated and output as JSON
The end result of this project will be an amCharts based dashboard but there is another development team working on the dashboard portion of the project.  All they require is JSON input for the charting engine.

The project should be built entirely in Symfony2 using the Doctrine ORM and will be source controlled through a private repository on GitHub which I will provide.  Any other options are at the discretion of the developer.

A qualified candidate should have the following:
  1. Experience with Symfony2 and Doctrine - This does not have to be production work.  This could make a good first Symfony project for an experienced PHP developer interested in using Symfony.
  2. Experience using git and a user on github - I need to be able to add you to the project on github and I expect you to know how to use it.
  3. Immediate availability - I don't require regular 9-5 hours but I expect work to begin immediately and to see progress daily until completion.
I DO NOT expect the qualified developer to do graphic design work.  Some simple use of css to keep things organized is all that is required for this project.  I don't expect the finished project to look much different than my wireframes.  Our design team will take it from there.

If you feel you or your team are qualified and interested in the project please send me either your hourly rate or a quote for the complete project and an estimate of the time involved.  I will send back wireframes and more detailed specifications to those who express interest.  I would like a "face-to-face" Skype meeting before work begins and regular follow-ups until the project is complete.

As I said earlier, this is a small project but I hope it will lead to an ongoing relationship and many future endeavours.  We are expanding away from CMS work and we feel Symfony2 will become a large portion of our business and are looking for long-term partnerships in that area.

Thanks,
James Ward
