Just a friendly reminder: join us this Sunday!
Join us this Sunday for Engaged Dharma with Hugh Byrne Join Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW) guiding teacher Hugh Byrne on Sunday April 9 at 3:30-5pm for a discussion that will aim to help us apply the teachings of the dharma to political engagement, social justice work, and activism. Hugh will lead a guided meditation and discuss how we bring the "inner" practices of mindfulness, self-compassion, loving-kindness, equanimity, wise speech and action, and other teachings and practices into the "outer" engagement of alleviating suffering in today's political context. The session will include a light guided meditation, dharma talk, and brief Q and A. Visit our website for more information and a calendar of the various yoga and meditation practices being offered at Lamont Dharma House. Please forward this email to anyone who may be interested. If you'd like to be added to our list, sign up here. With warmth, Lamont Dharma House lamontdharma.org | | | | |
