My client, founded in 1977, is a privately owned Contract Research
Organization (CRO) located in Rockville, Maryland. They are dedicated to
providing statistical and epidemiological expertise, computer systems
development, data management, study monitoring, regulatory guidance, and
overall operational support to clients engaged in clinical and biomedical
research. They are looking for a Web Developer to support the clinical
trials management team.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain project website combining graphical, textual
and video elements
* Interact with project staff to identify and refine functional requirements
for websites and related applications
* Assist project staff in development and maintenance of website related
applications and processes
* Ensure website security and continuity
* Identify potential issues, develop and track requirements for website
changes

Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Design experience using Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, or Illustrator
* Experience with the jQuery library and working with jQuery plug-ins
* Experience with XML, XSLT, and AJAX
* Experience with Java or PHP in back-end web development
* Experience in utilizing W3C standards and Section 508 to create accessible
websites
* Relational Database experience (SQL, MS Access, etc.)
* Strong understanding of Document Object Model
* Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and browser degradation
strategies
* Must be organized, detail oriented, have excellent written and oral
communication skills, and able to manage time between multiple projects
effectively
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or commensurate
experience
* Minimum 2+ years website development experience

Desirable:

* Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver templating and site management features
* Drupal experience (especially theme and module creation)
* Experience with JSP
* Experience with software version control systems (SVN, Git)
