[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Sunday Sangha @ Potter's House

Hello, sangha friends. I hope all's well with you and yours.

We are scheduled to meet on Sunday, March 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the Community Room at Potter's House in Adams Morgan, 1658 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC 20009. Chairs are available. You are welcome, of course, to bring your own seat. If you would like to help set up, please arrive five to 10 minutes early. Also, please note that the space is wheelchair accessible.

This week, I will discuss the use of the lojong, or mind-training, slogans to support our meditation, mindfulness and compassion practices and to apply their lessons in our lives off of the cushion. The working title of my talk is, "The Simple Yet Lost Social Courtesy of Holding the F@#$%^ Door for the Person Behind You."

If you would like some background on the lojong slogans, here's some helpful commentary from Judy Lief: https://tricycle.org/trikedaily/train-your-mind-lojong-commentary-judy-lief/.

I look forward to practicing with you on Sunday.

Rich
