-- I'll be leading this evening's gathering of the DuPont Sangha from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Church of the Holy City (1611 16th Street NW.).
After an opening sit, I'll offer a short talk on one of my favorite Dharma topics: Meeting the Five Hindrances. (Yay!!!) These mental states challenge our practice on and off the cushion. How we view and relate to these near- universal phenomenon can set us on a course either to more suffering or to increasing freedom. The talk will then be followed by mindful group discussion and closing.
A reminder that the policies at our host, the Church of the Holy City, have recently changed such that we now need to keep the front door locked during class. If you're coming tonight, please do your best to arrive before 6:00 pm. We'll check for any late comers after the sit, around 6:30.
Also, in case you didn't see Klia's message sent earlier this week, someone left a bike helmet and sunglasses at last week's class. If these are yours, you can retrieve them at this evening's class.
