Dear sangha friends,
Next weekend's Valentine's Day can be used as an opportunity to engage in a discussion of metta practice (often translated as lovingkindness). We did this last year and had a very nice gathering. If you'd like to join for a sit/discussion on the topic of metta, let's meet up in Dupont Circle next Sunday afternoon from 4 - 6 pm. Please bring some food to share, if you'd like, and RSVP to let me know if you plan to join us.
The address is 1605 S St. NW, #3. Once you enter the front door, my place is through the door on the left. We will conclude by 6 pm so people can get over to the 6 pm class.
Please email me directly (rkratner@yahoo.com) if you're interested. And here's a short reading from Sharon Salzberg on metta, if you'd like something on the topic for us to discuss: Facets of Metta by Sharon Salzberg
Hope you can join us next Sunday.
With metta,
Rebecca
