Dear friends,
-- Next Saturday March 28th, the DC Environmental Film Festival will host the East Coast premiere of a wonderful new film called Planetary. The film speaks to the interconnection of all beings and our connection with the Earth as a source of belonging and resilience in our times of great change.
The movie showcases many Buddhist teachers, including HH the 16th Karmapa, Joanna Macy, Joan Halifax, David Loy and others. Following the film, there will be a party and multimedia experience to celebrate Earth Hour, a mobilization happening all over the world that evening to raise climate awareness. There will be food, refreshments and a chance to meet the filmmakers and some of the teachers.
The event is co-sponsored by WWF (which created Earth Hour) as well as by One Earth Sangha which is working with the filmmakers to promote the movie among the western Buddhist community.
You can watch the trailer, learn more and reserve tickets here: https://www.dcenvironmentalfilmfest.org/film/planetary/
I hope you can join us on Saturday!
