Interested in building web applications that effectively communicate huge datasets to users using intuitive yet slick visualizations? We are interested in having a passionate and talented web developer join our team. This developer should have experience building user focused web applications that solve real world workflow & data visualization challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Working with a small team in the continued development of internal workflow and data visualization tools
- Hands-on software development with direct contributions to our existing codebase
- Code daily in Javascript/jquery, PHP, and other related languages
- Work with large datasets writing SQL queries to return data for user interfaces & reports
- Contribute with expertise in user interface design
Requirements:
- Accomplished level of familiarity with php5, css, html5, javascript, jquery, ajax, MySQL or other vertical technologies.
- Experience with UI design, software usability, MVC Frameworks, complex SQL queries, SAS concepts, restful APIs, general web techniques and technologies.
- Work well with a small team, interacting daily with other developers and stakeholders.
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral.
- History of successfully managing workload to deliver on time and within scope.
- Passion for technology and a drive to learn
Desired:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience
- Familiarity with UNIX systems, Bash shell
- Git or SVN
- Experience with coding in Actionscript and Flash/Flex
- Experience working with online advertising systems
- Visual design tool experience such as the Adobe Suite

This position is located at our McLean office, but we will entertain remote workers. We also have offices in New York City.
