Sr. Drupal – D.C. – Up to 110,000
We are seeking a Senior (Drupal) Developer for our Digital Department. This position is a hands on coder that will turn ideas into solutions, this may be done solo on smaller projects or as a lead on larger projects, providing both hands-on coding as well as leadership to other, more junior, members of the team. While the position is primarily focused on new projects, it is also involved in bug-fixing and maintenance of existing, in-place, tools and solutions.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Developer is expected to be a consummate technologist, always looking to keep his/her skills up to date and share their experience and knowledge with other developers on the team. The candidate should be a self-starter, willing and able to take the germination of an idea and flesh out the technology implementation for it.
Key role in architecting solutions
Guide the Junior Developer(s) in implementation of those solutions, explaining the architecture and reviewing their code for quality and performance
The Senior (Drupal) Developer must also have a thirst for new technologies, paradigms and architectures. We are looking for fresh minds to push us into more robust and savvier applications. Qualifications:
Platforms
Drupal CMS Version 6 and 7
Linux (Redhat, CentOS or Ubuntu: Server Platform)
Languages/Tools
PHP5
i18N
Javascript, JSON (preferably using jQuery)
LAMP Stack (Apache, PHP, MySQL)
Version Control (Subversion)
Zend Framework (or another PHP-based MVC framework)
Technologies
MVC Software Architecture
Object-Oriented Software Development (in PHP & JavaScript)
Database Schema Development and Optimization
Ajax-based application development
XML, XSLT, RSS & Web Services (Soap/REST)
Photoshop (file integration)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
5 years related experience working within an Agency environment is key. Experience working with Client Accounts is ideal.
Front and Back End Development skills are key!
Must have Drupal experience. Ideally 6 and 7
Experience working with Multi-Lingual sites is a plus
Ability to work within a team as both a leader and a doer
Should be able to translate between business ideas and technology implementation
