Hi all,
On Friday 5/23 at 7:30pm at Yoga District on 14th, I will be leading an in-person talk. (This is rescheduled from a Downtown Dharma Sunday talk I had to cancel earlier.)
My talk is titled "Mindfully Responding to Dangerous Times."
This will be a meditation and talk/discussion informed by Buddhist thought. We will consider how, when we are under attack, we might think about principles and ethics of self-defense and defense of others. The talk will draw on teachings by the Dalai Lama, Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, Lama Rod Owens, Sharon Salzberg, and others. All are welcome.
- In-person at Yoga District — 1910 14th Street NW, 3rd Floor, Washington, DC
- Please sign up in advance on Yoga District's website
- ( yddc.co/defend )
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes early
I look forward to seeing you there.
With metta,
Ava
