[Downtown Dharma Sangha Listserv] IMCW: Submit a Haiku (or 5!) for the Downtown Dharma Haiku Anthology

You are receiving this email because you are part of Downtown Dharma or have attended our haiku events. For the past five seasons, I have had the pleasure of hosting or co-hosting contemplative haiku events with the Downtown Dharma/IMCW community. At every hike through Rock Creek Park or gathering at the Arboretum, I have been blown away by incredible original work from seasoned and first-time poets alike. I suspect others would love to have these poems captured to read again and again. So, as a celebration of this community's amazing creativity and a fundraiser for Capital Area Food Bank, I am compiling an anthology of haiku written during, inspired by, or otherwise intersecting with Downtown Dharma haiku events. (Please feel free to share this with anyone from the wider IMCW/DC poetry community and beyond.)

Full (but simple) submission guidelines and details on printing/distribution/fundraising are available on the form, but please let me know if you have any questions! I am also looking for photographers and illustrators to help illustrate the anthology, as well as ideas for its title. If you'd like to be involved in any way, please don't hesitate to reach out.
