[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Sunday Sangha at Potter's House

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue." --Rilke

Dear Sangha,

We will meet this Sunday, August 19, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Community Room at the Potter's House (1658 Columbia Rd NW) to meditate and explore the practice of RAIN, a tool for working with difficult emotions.

RAIN stands for Recognizing the emotion, Accepting its presence, Inquiring into it with kindness and curiosity, and Not letting it determine who we are or what we do. This practice has helped me immeasurably with the challenges in my life. I'm delighted and honored to share it with you.

Chairs are available. You're also welcome to bring a cushion. If you'd like to help set-up, please arrive five to ten minutes early. The space is wheelchair accessible.

Peace,
Ryland
