[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Join us at Lamont Dharma House (2 programs)

Hello all. We hope you can join us at the Lamont Dharma House for our monthly Thursday Dharma talk and our monthly Saturday daylong (or half). Details are provided below. No need to register in advance. We welcome drop-ins! Please forward on and invite others.

EcoDharma – Applying Buddhist wisdom to our ecological crisis, May 25, 2017

May 25, 2017 7:00 PM – 8:30 p.m.

What does it mean to live in accordance with Buddhist principles in the context of global climate change? What would our lives look like if we were to respond to the environmental crisis as an expression of our Buddhist path? How can Buddhism, with its understanding of greed, hatred and delusion, as well as its deep exploration of our connectedness and inter-being, contribute to a conversation about broad-scale transformation?

Join Kristin Barker, Director and Co-Founder of One Earth Sangha, for an exploration of how we actualize the Bodhisattva vow and help ourselves and others fully awaken to the truth of a warming world.

The session is from 7-8:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

This event is free and open to the public, but we encourage people to give dana (donation) to support the teachers and the space. The suggested donation for this event is $10-15.
