Mindfulness Retreat: An Evening of Stress Relief for Self and Client Care, September 8

Instructor: Jill Sheppard Davenport, Founder and Integrative Health Specialist, JustHealth 

This JustHealth retreat is for anyone interested in learning or building on mindfulness meditation skills. It provides Certified Peer Specialists, mental health and community support providers, and families and individuals, with an active yet relaxing evening of mindfulness for reducing stress, anxiety, depression, quieting the mind, and improving sleep and pain. Participants will learn eight mindfulness practices and receive take-home materials to use for self or client care. Our Door Community Wellness Center is providing door prizes, light food and beverages. Participants will receive Certificate of Attendance. Certified Peer Specialists can receive up to two credit hours.

Date: Thursday, September 8, 2016

Time: Part A: 4-6pm – Mindfulness Fundamentals & Self-Care (1.0 Credit Hour)

Part B: 6-8pm – Deeper Mindfulness Practice & Tools to Share with Clients (1.0 Credit Hour)

Nutrition for Mental Health Workshop, September 28

Instructor: Jill Sheppard Davenport, Founder and Integrative Health Specialist, JustHealth

This JustHealth workshop introduces participants to the relationship between food and mood. It is for Certified Peer Specialists, mental health and community support providers, and the general public. Participants will learn how blood sugar regulation supports mood stability, gain an understanding of how nutrient depletion influences mental health, gain confidence in making food selections, and learn how to prepare mood-boosting meals and snacks. Our Door Community Wellness Center is providing door prizes, light food and beverages. Participants will receive Certificate of Attendance. Certified Peer Specialists can receive one credit hour.
