[dcphp-dev] [job] PHP Back-end and Front-end Developers in DC

Hi,

We have a long-term opportunity with our client for either Back-end or Front-end onsite work in downtown DC metro accessible on the Red Line.  We are building out our core team to take over the initial product launch and expect to grow and continue for multiple years.  Please see the job descriptions below, and contact me for further details:

Back-end developers

We are seeking back-end developers who will lead the internal development efforts for us by being the primary technicians in our product development group.  You'll be responsible for working on all the code for the website, including partner APIs, integrating third-party sites and developing the CMS, Zend logic & display and optimizing Mongo and SQL queries.  We will be pushing the envelope, managing different third parties, internal priorities that pop up, and finding the latest ways to make the site and functionality cool, innovative, intuitive and efficient.  We use Scrum as our methodology, replete with all it's pros and cons in one compact package.

Requirements:  Proficiency with PHP5/Zend, MongoDB, MySQL, Javascript, AJAX, Drupal, RESTful API development, Scrum
Optional:  Other MVC PHP frameworks, Apache config, Memcache, performance tuning, Ruby on Rails


Front-end developers

As our platform grows to include more third-party developed sites, the front-end developers will be responsible for managing and architecting the functionality of the core platform as well as maintaining a cohesive look & feel across the sites.  You will need to maintain proficiency with the latest and greatest features on the web such as parallax, ember.js or any emerging technologies.  Must work well in an agile environment, being a solid team member and collaborative communicator.

Requirements:  Proficiency with CSS, responsive web, Javascript & frameworks (Backbone), AJAX, PHP, Scrum
Optional:  MySQL, MongoDB, Zend or other PHP MVC frameworks
