This position will entail maintaining existing code as well as developing new modules and enhancements to our current PHP web based applications. The candidate will be formulating and modifying SQL queries, from simple to complex table joins, as well as play a role in database design and development. They will be developing PHP scripts to handle event driven actions as well as batch processing of data files. The candidate must be able to develop object-oriented code using MVC methodology.
Responsibilities:
- On-site design, development, integration and support of application
- Analyze customer needs and provide software solutions as part of a team
- Create documentation to support software development life cycle to include requirements documents, software design documents, test documentation, and end user guides
- Analyze, test, and resolve issues with application software
- Analyze and adapt existing software to meet customer needs
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience plus Bachelor's Degree in related field (or 4 years equivalent experience)
- 1 years of experience working with PHP and MySQL
- 1 years of experience working with MVC framework or similar (jQuery)
- 1 years of experience working with HTML and JavaScript
- Expertise in object oriented programming in PHP required
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
Desirables:
- Exposure to UNIX (SSH, scripting languages) a plus
- Exposure to the jQuery framework a plus
- Experience with development in a Linux/Unix environment, as well as source control systems (Subversion, GIT, CVS) strongly recommended
