Dear Sherrie,

Yesterday, I had the honor to exercise a right that many of my ancestors never had.  The right to vote.  I was so proud to get a little sticker that slimily read "I Voted".  I stood in line for many hours to ensure that my voice would be heard.  I stood there not just for myself, but for all of those pave the way for me to vote.

Today, I am writing you, Sherrie, to encourage you to exercise your right also.  This election is too important for you not to get out a vote.

For the first time in the history of the United States, we have a black man in the office of President, and he needs your help.  Please do not allow this election to turn out like that one in 2000.  Every vote does really count and you are important.

I want you to know that no one has paid me to sit at my computer and write this letter, but I felt compel to compose this note to encourage you personally to get out and vote.  Let nothing stand in your way of voting.  Vote early if you can, but just vote.

May God bless you and remember you are important and your President needs you.

Your bother in Christ
