Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III to Host New Strategies and Partnerships for Prince George's County Non-Profits Conference

 

Upper Marlboro, MD – Today, Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III announced the Reshaping Priorities: New Strategies and Partnerships for Prince George's County Non-Profits Conference that will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Jericho City of Praise in Landover, Maryland.

 

"This is an excellent opportunity for area non-profits to hear how we are reshaping agency services in the county and the role they can play in helping us to meet our goals," stated Baker.  "In addition, we will have County staff and resource professionals on-site facilitating the diverse line up of workshops planned for this event. The workshops will address daily operations and challenges that all non-profits experience, especially during these difficult economic times.  We have an impressive roster of non-profit organizations right here in Prince George's County doing great work in our community, the conference is also designed to build upon these organization's mission and ultimately maximize their outreach and fundraising efforts."

 

Conference highlights include: Opening session featuring County Executive Baker and Chief Administrator Bradford Seamon.  Modules will also be facilitated as follows: Mod 1 - Connect for Success: Public Safety, Economic Development, Education/Youth Development and Health & Human Services; Mod 2 - Fit To Serve: Mission Possible, Human Dynamics, and To Expand, Enhance or Eliminate; Lunchtime Workshop: Building Your Brand; and Mod 3 - Stretching Your Financial Resources: Grants Cardio, Fundraising Strength, and Diversified Resource Fitness. The County is joined in this event by Conference Partners: Human Services Coalition of Prince George's County, The Community Foundation of Prince George's County and Grant Professionals Association, National Capital Area Chapter.
