Bhavana Society, a West Virginia (Buddhist) Forest Monastery and Meditation (Retreat) Center is seeking additional long-term residents for late-2020 and early-2021

Bhavana Society, a Therevadan forest monastery located on 48-acres of woodland in High View, West Virginia (1:40 from Washington, D.C.) is accepting applications for long-term lay residency of two months or longer.  Long-term residents participate fully in the communal life of the monastery, including work assignments and daily meditation periods.  Interest in the teachings of the Buddha, a willingness to observe eight moral precepts, and some meditation experience is required.  No smoking, vaping, or intoxicants are permitted.  For those interested, please fill out an application here and send it to info@bhavanasociety.org.
