[Downtown Dharma Listserve] 2 of 8 This Sunday's Online Sangha: The Way of Compassion

Greetings Dear Community,

We'll meet online tomorrow evening from 6:00 to 7:30 pm to meditate together and then consider teachings in the Dharma wisdom tradition. Zoom details follow below.

After meditating together, we'll explore compassion from the perspective of the Dharma. Just as mindfulness is a skill of the mind, we are challenged to develop compassion as a capacity of the heart, integrating wisdom, expanding our range, eliminating bias, and incorporating active response. Like so much of the Dharma, true compassion calls us to stand against the stream of reactivity. While deepening our sense of connection and belonging, cultivating compassion is integral to our path to freedom.

I hope to see you there.

Thank you for your practice!

Kristin
