[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Join Us!: speaking out against injustice with loving speech and deep listening

How can we stand up for the values of social justice, inclusion, respect and dignity for all in a way that does not contribute to divisiveness? How can we reach out to those who are different from us to help bridge the divide?

Join Kaira Jewel Lingo on Thursday, February 23 at the Lamont Dharma House to hear a talk on speaking out against injustice with loving speech and deep listening, the fourth of the five (5) mindfulness trainings as offered by Thich Nhat Hanh. Taking inspiration from Loving Speech and Deep Listening, we will explore how our words and compassionate listening can both protest harm and promote reconciliation and peace.

The session is from 7-8:30 p.m. If you arrive late please wait to enter until the meditation has ended. Then you can enter through the second door at end of hallway.

Please RSVP to Kathleen Gless at community@lamontdharma.org by February 21 so we can anticipate the number in attendance.
