[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Re: Volunteer with Downtown Dharma at Loaves and Fishes on May 18th

Hi All,

As some of you know, Downtown Dharma will be volunteering at Loaves
and Fishes on May 18th. We volunteered at Loaves and Fishes in March.
It was a great opportunity to practice generosity and loving-kindness.
Hope you can make it.

If you're already responded to me, no need to respond again. If you
responded to Danya a while back when we first volunteered with Loaves
and Fishes, please do respond to me.

We need 8-10 people willing to volunteer. We'll either be helping to
plate food, or serve it to participants, and help put away tables at
the end. Last time, a group of us went to a neighborhood eatery for
lunch afterwards.

Loaves and Fishes is at 1525 Newton Street NW, on the northeast corner
of 16th and Newton Streets NW, in St. Stephen and the Incarnation
church. You will come through the parking lot and around the back of
the church; the first door is the kitchen. If you don't see me or
someone else you recongize,
please ask for Denize, the program manager. Plan on arriving at 11 am
and staying until around 2
pm. Please dress comfortably, with closed-toe shoes as this is an
operating kitchen.

With metta,
Scott
