Maggie Anderson and OUR BLACK YEAR visit the Enoch Pratt in Baltimore 
 
Under the leadership of its CEO, Dr. Carla Hayden, the Enoch Pratt Library's mission is "to provide equal access to information and services that empower, enrich, and enhance the quality of life for all." This library is one of the oldest free public library systems in the country. Furthering its tradition and commitment to educate and inspire, the Pratt welcomes Maggie Anderson to present "Our Black Year". This is a free event. The author and activist will speak, take questions, and sell/ sign books. 6:30 pm, Tuesday, July 10, in the Poe Room of the Central Library.  JULY 11 - LANGSTON HUGHES BOOK FAIR KEYNOTE 
 
The Frederick Douglass/Myers Maritime Park host Maggie Anderson and other Black authors to honor Langston Hughes and his legacy of artistic activism and cultural unity.

At the Langston Hughes Literary Forum and Book Fair, authors can use the pen as a sword in our community's battle for social and economic justice. Come out and have a good time with some of Baltimore and DC's leading literary activists, support local entrepreneurs, network with business leaders. This is a free event presented by Lou Fields and the Black Dollar Exchange.
