Dear Friends,
After a difficult and recent illness, I'm pleased and honored to share the loving practice of insight dialogue with you tomorrow. In response to our times, what is present for me here and now is to continue to hold high the togetherness of world pride from last weekend and to offer up queer dharma as our theme. I've been inspired, in part, by Jacoby Ballard's book, Queer Dharma: Yoga and Meditations for Liberation, and in other parts, by the intertwining of my own queer activist and dharmic journeys. What's arising this morning are two themes : 1) the search for balance between the compassionate conversation between our acts of wise resistance and non-resistance, and 2) a second noble truth calling to intervene at earlier points in the formation of conflictive sankharas in ways that offer greater relief from downstream suffering. This, of course, is for all of us, the LGBTQIA+ community, our allies.
I will offer a short, guided meditation, some words, prompts for our insight dialogue practice, and allow time for closing shares.
Sending you all my love,
Robert
