Increased Demand for Basic Needs of Food, SNAP and Financial Assistance for Housing The economic effects of the pandemic have been particularly severe for many individuals and families in our community who were already living on the brink of poverty and homelessness. Although the pandemic has surged and subsided over the last few months, the negative impact on our clients persists.
In recent weeks, Mission of Love Charities has seen a 30% increase in the number of individuals, families, and children who need food, help with SNAP applications, and rental and utilities financial assistance. Helping our clients remains a top priority for MOLC, and currently we are only able to provide this assistance with the financial help of government agencies, foundations, corporations, and individuals.
