[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Downtown Dharma Tomorrow Evening, Visceral Dharma

Greetings Dear Community,

We all know from everyday experience that our sense of "how is it right now?" is often, well, complicated. How we describe to ourselves and to others "what is happening" utterly depends on what aspect of experience we focus on as well as what frame and view we apply. The Buddha's astounding discovery was that our approach to this question of "what is happening" fundamentally shapes our reality. How we see determines not only what we see but what we experience. Facility with this question can make all the difference in the world.

In tomorrow evening's Sangha gathering from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, we'll practice together and then explore the rich potential of "Dharma" to bring immediate relief from suffering, develop natural wisdom, and sustain our compassionate action in the world.

Please note: beginning on January 23rd all in-person attendees are now required to provide proof of boosted vaccination against the COVID19 virus. Please send an image of your updated or additional vaccination cards to yogadc@yogadistrict.com . More details on attending in person follow below.

Whether in-person or online, I hope to see you tomorrow!

Kristin

Attending In Person
If you would like to come in person, you will need to register with the studio and submit proof of vaccination. You will also need to wear a mask. For everyone's safety and for the viability of this offering, these requirements are not negotiable. You can register through the Yoga District scheduling site, and you can submit proof of vaccination to yogadc@yogadistrict.com or present it in person at the studio. We ask everyone to register and submit proof of vaccination ahead of time so that we don't have long delays when we all get together.

We also ask that you try to come 10 minutes early – around 6:50. This will give us time to check folks in and acclimate to what is still a new space and process for most of us. Please note that the class is held on the 3rd floor, up two flights of stairs. There are rugs, bolsters, and folding chairs for seating. Please also note that we will be staffing these events ourselves so there will be no one at the desk to admit latecomers. The doors will be closed and locked at 7:10 and no one will be admitted after that.
