Dear friends,
-- At times I find myself wondering, do we really know who the Buddha was and what he taught? I wonder if the texts, with all of the shifts and distortions over the years, still point in the right direction. I think about modern day teachers and ask myself if they really know where the path leads or if they are wandering in the dark, possibly with less than noble motives.
Thoughts like these are a natural part of the process and doubt can often lead to a deeper faith and understanding of the dhamma, when we name it and work with it properly.
