[Downtown Dharma Sangha Listserv] This Sunday: Alive and Awake with Connection - Part 1 of 2, The Inner Field

Greetings Dear Sangha,

This Sunday, we'll begin a two-part exploration of Dharma as relational practice. In the first of these two, we'll focus on the inner field—our relationship with our own experience in the present moment. What happens when we stop leaning forward to what's next or backward into what is already gone, and instead arrive here, fully, with a body, mind, and heart subfused with the awareness of relationship? In particular, how might we cultivate a way of relating to ourselves that is wild with choices instead of trapped in habitual patterns? More broadly, how can the Dharma be known, not just conceptually but experientially, as a pursuit alive with connection and possibility? What then, might this mean for how we relate to the world outside ourselves, so fraught with confusion, so in need of our enduring love?

I hope you'll join us for practicing together and opening to our lives as a continuous field of relationship.

In-person: Sunday, 7:00 to 8:30pm @ Yoga District — 1910 14th Street NW, 3rd Floor, Washington, DC

Online via Zoom:  Join here

A reminder if you're joining us in person: please arrive at least 10 minutes early as the line to check in can be long. There are plenty of friends to make while you're waiting for the formal program to begin.

In Sangha,

Kristin
