[Downtown Dharma Sangha Listserv] Peer-Led Session: what the jhanas can teach us about finding joy

Hi friends!

This Sunday (tomorrow) will be a peer-led sit and discussion on the jhanas, which are alternate states of consciousness achieved through concentration-focused meditation. When accessed, they elicit delight, joy, and other positive sensations that eventually lead to one-pointedness, equanimity, and more. No prior knowledge required - this will be an introduction! I find the jhanas interesting and hope you will too :)

As always, we'll meet at 7 pm at Yoga District. Details on different ways to join us can be found below.

With joy & metta,

Madeleine
