Re: [Downtown Dharma Listserve] Picnic, Sunday Sit, and Change in Venue

Thanks, Linda, and whoever helped organize the move to Flow. It's a nice small space, but it should be noted that it's not accessible, in case that matters to anyone. I'm assuming we would meet in the same upstairs room there where we met earlier this month.

Dear Downtown Dharma Sangha,

I hope you've had an opportunity to enjoy the weather. If not, join us for some outdoor fun on Sunday (see below). Also hope those of you who have been enjoying the weather can join us for some more of it.

This Sunday, June 16, we will meet at the Potter's House from 6-7:30 pm to meditate and explore mindfulness teachings together. Since this will be our last meeting at the Potter's House (see below), we will include a practice around this transition.

Picnic:

Farbod and Nate are kindly organizing a picnic for us this Sunday at 3 pm at Malcolm X (Meridian Hill) Park.

All are welcome!

They plan to have blankets laid out on a patch of grass under a tree on the right side of the park when facing the drum circle. Food and drinks will be provided and you're welcome to bring something to share if you would like.

Email or text Farbod or Nate if you have any questions/suggestions:

Change in Venue:

The Potter's House has been a wonderful home for our community for the last year and a half, and we are very grateful for that. As many of you are aware, some issues that arose required us to look for a new location. A few of you suggested potential options for venues that Devin and I explored the last few weeks. It has become clear that at this time, the most viable option is Flow Yoga Center (1450 P Street, NW b/t 14th & 15th Sts) in Logan Circle. We look forward to this partnership with Flow starting on June 23 and hope that those of you who live in Adams Morgan will make the trip to Flow. If you haven't been there, I personally think you should come at least once just to check out the venue.

With love,

Linda
