Hello friends,
I sent a longer version of this notice out in August, so apologies for the repeat-- August vacations ended up making it impossible to interview folks, so we decided to pause and restart in the Fall.
These gorgeous cool nights mean Fall is here! Please see below of you're interested in living in sangha. And please circulate to others who might be interested.
Warmest best wishes,
Megan

> About the house and how to apply:
>
> Our newly formed group house in the heart of Mt Pleasant is centered around meditation and yoga (bhakti, asana, pranayama, etc), as well as laughter and good food. We've come together to deepen our practices (vipassana meditation and yoga strongly represented) by meditating and doing yoga together regularly, and by creating a home environment supportive of reflection, contemplation and insight. We've also come together to create a space for the broader community to deepen in practice, and we plan to open the house for group meditations, yoga, kirtan, satsang, day-long retreats, talks on spiritual philosophy and the dharma, musical events, and the like.
>
> We all came to the house with years of our own individual personal practice and a desire to deepen. The house grows from that place. We seek someone who also has an established practice and is interested in deepening their practice in community with others, and in exploring how to integrate practice with daily life in this wild, beautiful, challenging city.
>
> We are 2 women and 2 men in our 30s. At play, we can be found in nature, riding bikes, walking through Mt P, reading, writing, critiquing cinema in our home theater, traveling the world, holding acoustic musical jams, and hosting our friends for dinner. At work, we can be found doing climate and energy policy, working on renewable energy projects in developing countries, fostering dialogue and capacity building amongst leaders across oceans, and doing social work. We're a fun loving group. The house is full of laughter, as we all have a taste for the hilarious and absurd.
>
> The room will be available November 1, with plenty of flexibility on the move-in dates (as soon as October 1) since we have a spare bedroom that we can use to stage in our new housemate. Price is $925/month, utilities not included. The 3 story townhouse has 3.5 full bathrooms, four fireplaces, multiple outdoor terraces, a garden with a maple tree, and a two-car garage that we rent out. We have set up a "shopkeeper's apartment" on the 2nd and 3rd floors where the bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and balcony are. We've dedicated the ground floor of the house to meditation, yoga, and community. The open bedroom is on the 3rd floor, a bit cozy, and you would share a full bathroom with one other person
